| At
this time, I was working for Sheldon Fire
& Rescue Equipment, selling ambulances
and fire apparatus. Russ and Karen Sheldon
were very instrumental in acquiring the
engine, and when I needed a place to store
it, the opened up space at their residence
in North Plains, Oregon. It was here that I
started to take it apart. As I removed items
from the truck, I placed them in labeled
plastic bags, placed them in plastic bins
and logged the location in a notebook. I
knew that when it came time to put things
back together, I would not remember where
they went, so I wanted to give myself all
the help I could get.
These
photos were taken with a Kodak DC 260
digital camera, which had a tough time
getting colors correct. Reds came out pink
in the sunshine and as you can see, the
bright yellow was a bit dull.
